The Good News

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth and oh, what a glorious earth it was. In fact, it was perfect. God created mankind in His image and they had a personal relationship with Him. God freely gave them everything they needed. They walked together and talked together. There was only one rule, one commandment, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die." (Genesis 2:16-17) Becoming prideful and desiring to be more like God, they ate the fruit. They sinned against God by disobeying His commandment. The Bible proclaims the punishment for sin to be spiritual death or a complete separation from God! In other words, the relationship was broken.

Sin separates you from God because He is so holy and just that He cannot and will not allow sin near Him or in Heaven. If you have broken even one of God’s Commandments, you are a sinner and you are also separated from God. You are missing out on the relationship you were created to have. But, what is worse is that unless you are reconciled to God, this separation will be eternal. Your eternity will be spent in Hell apart from God instead of Heaven, with God. God warned mankind of this from the very beginning and yet every one of us has chosen to rebel against Him. If you failed the Good Person Test then God's punishment is waiting for you. If you die in your sins it is too late. There are no second chances.

But, there is good news because God made a way to cleanse you of your sins, to restore the relationship, and for you to inherit God's Kingdom instead of His wrath. God sent Jesus (God the Son), down to earth to do what we could not do. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin and lived a full and sinless life as a human. He obeyed every commandment perfectly. Jesus taught us how to love God and each other and then He did something that is hard for humans to understand. While we were still rebelling, still doing our own thing and completely disregarding God and His commandments, Jesus died in our place. There is no greater love than that. He was accused, ridiculed, beaten and then nailed to a cross where He took upon Himself the sins of the world and paid their penalty. Jesus suffered the consequences of your sins and mine, was separated from the Father and died a horrible death. Jesus took OUR punishment for OUR sins! He paid for every lie, every act of hatred, every lustful look, every self centered thought that you and I have ever committed or ever will commit. He did this because He loves us that much and knew there was no other way to reconcile us with God.

Three days later, God brought Jesus back to life and He returned to Heaven. Jesus is ALIVE and waiting to hear from you. Jesus owns the sin debt of the world and to all those who repent and submit to Him as Lord now, He will wipe their slate clean. It will be as if you never sinned and this is the only way to enter God's Kingdom; sin free. God will never force anyone into Heaven but if you want to go then you must realize that He is God and Lord of His Kingdom and He gets to make the rules, not you. In Heaven, every knee will bow before God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit.

People have spent thousands of years making up new rules to suit themselves and new religions they think are more fair but God has not and does not change and at the moment of your death you will find this out a moment too late. You must choose now. If you truly do not want to go to Heaven and spend eternity with God, then you need to do nothing. You are already on your desired path.

What do you have to do to be saved?

1.  You must realize and admit that you have sinned against God and on Judgment Day you will be found guilty and sentenced to eternity in Hell. You must remorsefully repent of your sinful ways (desire to quit sinning with all your heart) and choose to live God’s way.

2.  You must believe Jesus is who He claims, He paid for your sins and can wipe them clean. You must stop trusting in religion or good deeds and put your total trust in Jesus to save you.

3.  You must pray to Jesus, one on one. Confess that you have sinned against Him and ask Him to forgive your sins. Surrender your life to Him and confess that He is LORD!

This is your first prayer God will listen to and if He judges you to be sincere, He will make you a new creation, a child of God and when you die, you will go straight to HEAVEN instead of Hell. Tell someone what you have done; a friend, relative or someone that you know is a Christian. We would love to hear from you as well. You can now pray and talk to God anytime you want; the separation is gone. It is a wonderful thing to be in the grip of such a loving God.
